will my i5 6600k bottle neck my rtx 2080? ( i plan on getting a ryzen 7 3700x soon either way just asking to know for reference )

With a 6600k being a mid grade quad core from almost 5 years ago, probably...but I can't imagine it being overly severe.

i mean yeah, but bottleneck isn't a huge deal. A quad core will work fine depending on the performance you need. Will certainly hold the card back in almost all cases though

ok because i tested the rtx 2080 and the rtx 2060 and had a 10 fps difference in subnautica on highest settings ( no AA ) so thats why bottleneck came to my mind.

the average for the 2080 was about 120fps and the 2060 was 110fps

It will do just fine on a GPU intense game, but you might get into a noticeable bottleneck if you play a CPU demanding game. 4 core 4 threads with not even 4Ghz boost is quite weak in today's times.

A 2060 would pair up nicely with your i5 but if you're upgrading your CPU to a 3700x anyways, a 2080 would be ideal.
