Hi internet

When i start my computer the hardware always starts running and light go on but sometimes i am not getting a signal on my display. In th epicture below u see the code the motherboard gives when this happens with a yellow light.

When the computers does give display on startup it gives the code 40.

Another difference is that when i do not get display my power button light from the case is off and when i do it is on.

Here is the documentation ofd the motherboard cause i cannot figure out what the code means.

Thanks for all the help

That doesn’t read “40” in the pic.  It looks more like “8d” can’t be sure though.  Your Q code table is in the very back of the manual

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

@Bombastinator I also cant find 8d in the q-code table so idk what i am supposed to do can u help me?

I couldn’t either.  D8 was invalid password, which doesn’t make a lot of sense in this instance. Those q codes sometimes flash by quickly.

@Bombastinator I found this but this is from another motherboard https://forums.evga.com/8d-error-code-m575497.aspx

Q-codes are motherboard specific.  Couldn’t hurt though.
