Windows resets itself after update.

if you can, backup your data somewhere and clean install Windows.

 

if you can't do that, use the Microsoft tool for updating to a new version (don't know the exact name). go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and click upgrade now. that will download a tool that will update your machine. i've had better luck with that than using Windows Update to go to a newer version.
