Windows resets itself after update.

Earlier today i tried to update my pc. From windows 1803 to 1903 it didnt go well but after some troubleshooting i got it to work. But after my pc had restarted it said something like we couldnt update your pc and went back to 1803 help.

if you can, backup your data somewhere and clean install Windows.

 

if you can't do that, use the Microsoft tool for updating to a new version (don't know the exact name). go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and click upgrade now. that will download a tool that will update your machine. i've had better luck with that than using Windows Update to go to a newer version.
