Looking for an updated Streaming/Gaming PC build. Looking into the 2 in 1 build (2 pc in 1 case). Was looking for a pure gaming pc but am also considering a streaming/gaming build. (FML black friday is around the corner)(no time to waste)

 

1. $4,000 West Coast USA

  This is just for the PC build the funds for the Monitor I'll use something else

2. Aim

Pure Gaming: Most game types: FPS, MMO's, strategy etc etc Looking to play at 2k resolution.

3. Monitors

Already have 1 monitor for all other stuff I just need to buy a new 2k resolution gaming monitor.

4. Peripherals

Looking into a new main gaming monitor for 2k resolution. Keyboard and mice optional I may need an upgrade.

5. Why are you upgrading?

1st build was from here a few years ago which took me awhile but i plan on donating it to my little brother and time for some new stuff.

 

 

Only thing I have on my mind so far for the build is:

 

-Intel CPU

-RTX 2080 Ti

Changes in product capacity seem to be moving quite rapidly after a long lull.  More for some components than others.  As for the CPU, I would suggest that you get as many threads as you can.  It’s becoming more important than ghz at this point.  The issue is that the physics ceiling for ghz is ~5 or so.  Also the 2080ti may not remain the fastest available GPU for very much longer.

Get a ryzen 5 3950x with a 2080Ti or super and you're good to go, no need 2 PC you can get a triple or double moniyor setup depending on your taste or just a Ultrawide if your desk have enough room.

 165Hz is the highest refresh rate for 1440p at the moment. You can go to Threadripper if you are prioritising streaming. I'd wait for the 3080ti instead of getting a 2080ti.
