Newer Nvidia driver get GPU hotter at Idle??

dgsddfgdfhgs

its a msi gtx970, gamingx (0 rpm fan below 60C)

in the recent drivers , mine idles at 60C, fans spins and stops to maintain at 60C, but load temps are same as before.

do you encounter the same issue with the new drivers?

You can make custom fan profile with MSI Afterburner.

sure, but this doesnt "solve "the issue.  its supposed to be 40C~ at idle before

What drivers do you use? My secondary PC that I right now use has GTX1060(441.12) and everything is OK(fans don't spin).

Seems like the latest driver is 441.20. Do you use it?

I think so, (currently at work~)

just wondering if this is a wide spread issue

Anyway my GTX1060 uses 441.12 and everything is OK. No fans spin when idles and fans only spin when temp goes over 50C. Right now my GPU is 32C.

Never once owned a card with zero fan mode so I couldn’t say.

But i I noticed the cards having hotter idle temps years ago as they stopped down clocking. Even with the setups not changing. So not sure if it was nvidia or Windows for the cause.
