nvidia and freesync

Hello all,

 

I bought an AOC CQ27G1 27 INCH FREESYNC MONITOR and was under the impressions that an RTX 2060 would work with these types of monitors. However, i may have been wrong. does anyone know if im wrong or if there is a way for me to have freesync enabled.

You have to use a DisplayPort cable, then go into the Nvidia Control Panel and enable G-Sync.

whats a display port cable? do they normally come with monitors? I did notice 2 other cords that came with this one

nevermind i do see a display port cable was provided? will this take the place of my HDMI cable or should i be using both?

Takes place of the HDMI cable, do not need to use both.
