A 5700XT is faster than a 1070, and is better for a 1440p 144Hz monitor, but 1440p 144Hz at high details is super demanding, so maybe a 5800XT (when they come out) is a better pick

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

There should be a ton of tests online.  My memory is it’s a good bit faster.  The 5700xt competes with the 2060S and the 2070.  Worth is a question only you can answer.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

They already confirmed, 5900 not 5800. They like the odd numbers for product differentiation.

This is the board i want .
X570 Aurus Elite

Reasonable price and hopefully sales will drop more.
12+2 VRM

Looks (not big on RGB)

Also need:
16GB RAM 3600MHz or faster

Intel 660p 2TB

Can a 1st gen Ryzen work in this board?

If the stock cooler isnt cool enough for me, then that to.

That's mighty expensive... Especially when you can turn off the RGB on the other boards, and the VRMs for all the X570 boards are capable of overclocking all the CPUs to their maximum.

That's about $130 for good Samsung B-die RAM. I'm currently running mine with a mild overclock to 3800CL16.

Why are you paying for QLC NAND when you can get TLC NAND for the same price? The only expected advantage to getting QLC is price, and it's too new to be significantly cheaper yet. It's slower, and it doesn't last as long.

A GAMMAXX 400 should handle anything you can stick in the board, even overclocked. It's only $20. Of course, it's not very pretty if you're worried about how it looks in your case. (bare aluminum fins, bare copper pipes) You should also budget for case fans, and CPU cooler fans. (I recommend the Arctic P12 if you can find them in stock)
