case front panel mod - how to create/add venting to solid plastic?

Just a general question - for cases that have a solid plastic front panel, can they be laser cut or something like that to create a more airflow-friendly design? I know you could just cut out a large square/rectangle/circle and add mesh but I'm wondering if a shop with a laser cutter or something like that could make a cutout that would allow pretty good airflow without completely cutting up the overall shape.

 

Specifically I'm wondering about it for a Cooler Master Cosmos C700M - I know you can just remove the front piece since there's already a filter grill behind it but if possible i'd rather mod the plastic (removing the inner filter mesh layer per GN's suggestion of using one or the other rather than both) to keep the general appearance, along with the LED strip etc.

 

Been googling a bit but I'm not seeing plastic cutting specifically on sites, so not even sure if it's possible or if so what kind of shop to look for.
