The GPU is an EVGA FTW ACX 2.0 and I was wondering if it's worth it or not? Also, I can easily find an RX 570 at a similar price or an RX 470 or a GTX960 (4GB) for $20 less. For a bit more at $140-150, I'm sure I can find a GTX 1060, GTX 980 (3 and 4 Gigs, respectively) or an RX 580 (8GB). All in used condition, of course.

I don't care much about the GTX 1050Ti, but it's going to cost right in the neighborhood of RX 470 FYI.

Currently, I'm running an old, humble GT 440 (DDR3 variant) paired with a Pentium G860 (An i5-3570S is on its way from China, BTW) and 2x2GB of RAM (Shall add another 2 Gig stick) on an H87 mobo.

Needless to say; anything would be an "enormous" upgrade. Lastly, I game at capped 60FPS with V-Sync (Don't like screen tearing and fluctuating frame rate); preferably at 1080p although don't mind scaling down to 900 or 720p if I REALLY have to.

I'm falling towards the GTX 970 and the RX 470 but need a second opinion as I'm hardly a GPU guru!

Thanks!

id say, if you can get it at that price, the 570 is good enough. if you can get one with the higher memory and clock speeds, it will be almost equivalent to some of the 580.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

If you go that route you can go even cheaper,  I've seen GTX 1070/ti between 50-100€ euros plenty.

I'm sure they were mining cards, but at those prices, as long it works... Can't do much wrong,  I suppose?

And yes,  Im considering that myself lol, I need a better card... 1060 too slow and too little memory (otherwise a great card for sure,  especially my model)   :/

The direction tells you... the direction

I just recently picked up a used GTX 970 for about $100 usd for my second build. In my opinion they're still a great performing card, they get similar performance to the GTX 1060 and run everything on high settings, 60 frames/sec. I replaced the thermal compound and temps never exceeded 64C while playing BFV on High.

Intel Core i7 9700F / Cooler Master 212 Evo / GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER / 16 GB G.SKILL RAM @ 2666MHz / GA-B365M-DS3H / EVGA 500w PSU

HP Pavilion Gaming 15 / Ryzen 5 4600H / GeForce GTX 1050 / 8 GB @ 3200MHz
