New gpu for workstation

Thanks for the input. I haven't thought of going amd. I will look into that. Thanks!

But ya if you rebuild and are then able to use gaming GPUs, if that software has 100% GPU scaling, 2 8GB 480s/580s will be very fast and cheap.

An R5 2600 PC is like $400-500 USD not counting GPUs.

My workstation needs a gpu update. I'm working on a Lenovo P300 Thinkstation with a Nvidia K620 gpu. It is starting to bug out when trying to render. I'm thinking of getting a P1000 to replace it, unless there is a better option for that size? It needs to be small form factor to fit in the case and space. Thanks in advance!

What software?

if the motherboard/PSU are standard ATX you could just replace the case on the cheap.

What's the power supply in it? What CPU?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Revit with Enscape as the renderer. Everything in the case is mostly proprietary from lenovo, the psu is 230W.

Seems like it supports CUDA and OpenCL, would be useful to find real benchmarks but that seems unlikely as with all workstation GPUs.

Probably want an 8GB card preferably, not sure any half height 8GB cards exist though.

The PSU and height requirements are really going to hold you back...

Pay pal has 0% interest financing over 12 months for purchases over $300 if you just want to build a modern PC

The WX 4100 seems like it'll be the cheapest 4GB workstation GPU, you could also just look for the single half height 1050ti which will likely be faster than this card and cheaper.
