Help with mic

I got a mic, but I got a problem with it.

 

so I’m told I’m ok, but when I start speaking even slightly loud on my mic, it makes my voice almost screaming.

 

now I’m not gonna buy another mic and repositioning is not an option,

 

so, is there some sort of software I can download which will make the mic ‘cutoff’ at a certain volume? Or restrict the volume when it gets loud?

voice platform is majority discord if there’s a option in there, but preferably for everything if there’s an external setting, option or software.

So back panel fixed the problem.
