hey guys

im planning on getting the ryzen 7 3700X and i dont know what motherboard to get with it. ive heard a lot of recommendations about MSI boards but i think ASUS make damn good boards. plus, what do you think about gigabyte boards. the budget is around 300$

I can recommend MSI for sure, their mobos are really well-built. Same can be said for most of ASUS, but not Gigabyte, unfortunately... With Gigabyte it's more like hit-or-miss...

MSI has terrible X570 boards, and Gigabyte has amazing ones. Have you seen any reviews? Gigabyte has an exceptional offering for every price point, but the only MSI boards worth buying are the $500 and up ones.

Why on earth do you need a $300 board?

 

So many people are buying into these overpriced motherboards, the prices keep going up and no real gains are seen.

 

Grab a nice B450 and be done.

its actually true, I'm in between the ASUS x570 TUF and the GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ELITE

Yes if you're in that price range, grab the Aorus. (Asus customer support is notoriously bad)

Gigabyte customer service as been horrible to me, i guess it's just a common thing these days....

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
