Hello

If anyone has a spare moment to look at what I through together for a new build I want to do. I mostly game, but I am a computer science student learning java, game development(unity).

It does not have a graphics card because I am going to use the 1070 I have currently. It has no issues, but eventually down the line I would like to upgrade it. Just trying to save a little bit of money for now.

If you have any upgrades that you think would work better please let me know.

Thanks

It's fine but it's stupid imho, get AMD, not Intel, psu is overkill, gold rating does not translate to it's quality, storage is fine only if you have something else for mass storage, just my opinion, wait for feedback from more people, they might disagree with me :D

Currently i see you have a 9700k. Unless you are a heavy premiere pro editor who needs Intel Quicksync, just pick up a ryzen 7 3700x for a similar price.

Everything else looks fine, you could probably get away with a 550w psu, but if you see yourself upgrading to higher end hardware like a 2080 TI etc or a large amount of drives, then yeah just pickup the 750w.

You're blowing your load with that memory.  You're a student right?  It'll be quite a while before you really need more than 16gb.  Games never really use more than 9 or 10, most use less.  Also, as earlier stated, go AMD but get the 3600.  2 extra cores that rarely are used don' really justify the extra $100 or more.  Also,  for the price of that 500 gig evo you could get a 1tb intel 660p, atada gammix s5, or crucial p1, all will perform identically to the evo for games and most other applications.  With the PSU, semi and fully modular units are identical in application as semi-modular only have the MOBO and CPU cables attached, which you will never NOT use, so theres really no difference.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
