Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding whether or not buying a GPU late 2019, currently having a 1060 3GB, i was thinking upgrading my CPU currently having the i3 8100, but should change right now my GPU or wait? Suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

Also, If I should change, what GPU and CPU, you suggest for a $500 budget?

I would probably switch platforms to an r5 2600 with a cheaper motherboard and then a 5700 if you can up your budget just a bit.

Since that i3 already bottlenecks the card you have, I'd recommend changin the CPU first. Which mbo do you have?

Well you won't get any benefit out of an X470 board. If you did want to overclock, you can easily do that with the tomahawk as well.

Changing the platform makes no real sense in your case. You can get a decent Intel CPU for the price of the Ryzen + AM4 motherboard.

 

I think an i7 would be the best choice, especially the i7 8700 if you can find it. Then i7 9700.

Under that, if budget oriented, i5 8400f, 9400f or some other i5 8000/9000 series.
