I need help choosing for the right chipset and motherboard. I’m buying the ryzen 7 3700x and I also need the board to be itx from factor. I am currently thinking of buying the Asus b450-I.

Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi or ROG Strix X570-I Gaming for the highend stuff.

Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro Wifi or ROG Strix B450-I Gaming for the budget midrange stuff.

Take your pick.

none of these have the correct Bios. nor bios flashback. sadly.

edit: and the B450i gaming plus ac from MSI is sort of better budget wise.

Yes I’m building in an H210

how much are you willing to spend on a motherboard?

do you have a vendor near you that can update the Bios?

A simple bios update will get this to work with the 3700X. Updating the bios with an actual CPU that works on these boards is another issue altogether.

and how do you propose them to update the Bios without a compatible CPU?

its either bios flashback, order a bootkit or going to a store.

and those boards do not have bios flashback.

Like I said on my edited post above, it's another issue altogether.

Maybe he can borrow from someone who has a compatible CPU or he might even have a spare that might actually work? Help from the local store he's buying it from (if he's indeed buying from the local store)? I dunno. I'm just providing answers based on the questions he's asking.

Yeah, my friend can probably lend me his 1600 or I can probably go to a store that I know that could probably do it for me.

What would think of the Asus version b450-I? ( I’ve been an Asus fanboy for ever)

expencive for what it is usually.

goes for about 150$ usually.

at that point you might aswell get the Auros Pro wifi as that board is amazing for what it costs.
