Okay so I am planning on building a new gaming PC - able to achieve high FPS on at least very high graphics settings, along with some light desktop/web/database development - but apparentley, my idea of splashing the cash doesn't comply with the market right now.

Like anyone else, I would like to choose components that are still relatively competitive in at least 5 years time but I cannot bring myself to justify £2k+ on a build.

So with that in mind, would a configuration like the below fit my requirements?;

  • ThreadRipper 1900X
  • 1080ti/2070ti
  • at least 16gb 3200mhz RAM
  • 500GB m.2 drive
  • 1TB HDD (left over from old build)
  • Corsair CX750 (left over from old build)
