Poor mans gaming Rig

Greetings from Scotland.

As watching your channels, which are Top viewing, I liked your Frankenstein builds.

So being an old skool gamer right from the ZX80 days, I decided to see what I could do now with a very limited budget.

Also being 55 now the old eyesight is not much cop.

I have done some photo's of my build, but my phone is as old as I am Ha Ha

My rig gives me a lot of enjoyment now and is capable of playing the games I like both old and new.

It is not all about 4K and FPS etc, 

Old games have more enjoyment and content than most of the remakes of remakes, my own personal opinion.

Having a session on Xenon 2 or Gods by the Bit Map Brothers brings back nostalgia and a lot more fun than flashy graphics with no content.

 

Anyway not to go on, here are my before and after specs for my poor mans rig.

1Tb Hard Drive

280W PSU

A lot of FUN and Enjoyment built in.

 

So I hope that anyone reading this, give it a go as if I can still do it "You can".

Build for you enjoyment and requirements and what you save, get the mates round for a brew and a game or two.

Nice build. I still have an old system I built way back when I started college. It runs on an AMD AthlonXP with an S3 Savage video card. Running on Windows 95. I used it mainly to play Command and Conquer Red Alert. My dad loved that game and he sometimes fires up the old machine just to play it.
