Defected Corsair lightning Node Pro?

Hi

 

So I recently purchased an open box CORSAIR Crystal Series 680X RGB from Ebay. The issue I am having is that once I connect the lightning Node pro to the power supply and power it on the PSU just keeps on restarting itself. Once I disconnect the Node pro from the PSU it turns on just fine. This happens with or without the motherboard hooked up to the PSU.

The PSU I have is the evga 1000 GQ 80 plus gold. 

I got the case on a good deal and it would still be cheaper for me to just buy the Node pro but before I do I just want to make sure that the Node pro is defected or atleast that being the consensus of the issue.

 

This is my second computer that I'm building
