For my B-Day, if I don’t get an iPhone 11, I’ll probs ask for a sound system. What would be a budget sound system for like, $500-700 I could ask for as an alternative? Thanks.

Is this for your computer or for your TV ?

for 700 ish I would take a look at some powered monitors and an interface/balanced DAC with volume control, I'm getting a pair of the JBL LSR308 Mk 2's in a couple weeks for my PC, so could post my listening impressions.

 

Also, take a look at the Kali Audio P6's, they are supposed to be amazing, they also have RCA in so you could get a cheap-ish DAC with volume control.

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Wait, what’s an impression? Sorry if it’s a noob question ? also, will a 5 or 6” speaker work? Having both 8” makes it a bit expensive

Impression is essentially my opinions on them.

 

The 5 and 6 inch ones will work totally fine aswell. The rest you still buy.
