Hi i just installed a corsair h150i pro on my motherboard. My motherboard is the asus crosshair viii hero wifi.

Now the issue is when i boot it sais i have a cpu fan error. but my fans are connected to the cpu waterblock and not the cpu fan header.

The things i have connected are 3 fans to the waterblock, 1 sata power line to the psu, 1 usb header and 1 cha_fan1 header.

How can i solve this i really need help with this i am clueless thanks in advance.

You need to connect the fan header to the CPU_fan, if not it throws an error... you can work around it on some boards.

Just go to the BIOS and ignore the fan in question in the fan section of BIOS.  I don't know if this is the right advice but give it a shot.  My fan also gives error upon bootup so I disabled it or ignore it should I say.  For some reason your main CPU fan might be low on the boot up sequence.

3 pins will still work on a 4 pin header just FYI. But as @Turtle Rig said, you can disable the fan warning in the BIOS, which is what I meant by

To disable the fan warning.

Just out of interest, do you have any other fans in your setup? if so you can just plug it/them into the CPU fan header also to stop the fan error appearing... all that warning does is alert you if your fan is not running, to stop your CPU from overheating. So if you don't need it because you are using a water loop etc, then it's perfectly fine to disable it.

What I do on mine, is have a fan hub plugged into the CPU_fan header, then whatever fans I have plugged into that hub are controlled by that header, so if my CPU is getting hotter, the fans adjust to cool it down. I usually have my intake fans, and exhaust fan hooked up to that hub, so it is drawing fresh air into the case to cool the components, and the exhaust fan is drawing some of that air over the heatsinks and out of the case, to cool the VRMs etc.
