So I have an X4 860k CPU in a Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 motherboard cooled by a Corsair H60 Hydro Liquid Cooler

I'm currently at 4.4ghz with whatever stock voltage is set in bios because whenever I attempt to change it, it never goes through or AMD Overdrive is wrong.

Do I need to worry about my motherboard temps such as the VRMs? Because I don't know any software that can accurately read those temps for this CPU and motherboard.

These are CPU temps during AIDA64 Extreme Stability test for 10 minutes.

You probably want a fan sitting over your VRMs on that board for overclocking

but 4.4ghz is probably near that CPU's limit.

Not sure if overdrive is accurate, CPU-Z should be fine

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
