GPU, obviously. GTX 980 can't do 1440p 60fps+ in many games without downgrading to medium settings graphically. Doesnt support Freesync monitors (aka Gsync compatible) either

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

okay thx but is it really that bad cuz I get pretty good FPS in 1080 on my 144hz monitor

but which one should I get I like the looks of the asus one a lot more and I starting to hate rgb fusion.... so is the asus is the better option?

and after that do you recommend any monitor that has the specs from above and is preferably curved

it's still game dependent. If you play fortnite (for example) only then even GTX 980's enough, but in general expect getting a 30-40% lower frame rate just because of the increased pixel count

I dont like RGB at all so I cant talk about their value, but as far as cooling performance's concerned the Strix is totally overkill. I myself might go for cards like the EVGA XC Ultra at best

There aren’t any GPU’s (design wise) cheaper than the strix that I like... in my country at least

Strix and Trio are overkill in terms of cost and temperature. They do run cooler and more quiet, but dual fan models are already enough

I didnt mention dual fan cards like the Palit Jetstream or MSI Gaming Z because you talked about the Strix and Gigabyte cards, all of which have 3 fans and I assume that's your taste.

Yes I think 3 fans looks cooler some dual fans are also dope though but I don’t know if I wanna spend 65 more dollars for strix or trio compared to the gigabyte windforce

and I also wanna OC my gpu

I took that into consideration when I said a good dual fan cooler will do the job, that includes flashing higher power limit bios if necessary

the Gigabyte windforce, not Aorus right? Its cooling performance is worse, but whether to pay the extra cooling is up to you. Gigabyte is good at making cards that look good but actually isn't more so than even Asus (#5700XT TUF), so the Windforce is more comparable to dual fan cards. To gigabyte's credit their Windforce card is one of the few 2 slot thick options out there.
