1080p Gaming GPU Decision

Razer06

Hi, I have been looking to build a Gaming PC meant for 1080p 60-120FPS on high-ultra settings. I have narrowed it down to 2:

RX 570 8GB

GTX 1660(Super)

Which would be better? I'm looking to save as much as i can, but not spare a whole lot of performance. I mainly play fortnite, if that helps

As much as i love the 570 as a budget choice, the 1660 super is the best choice for what you're going to do with it and the performance you're targeting

RX 570 8GB is far better value if you can pick it up at a good price. It will give you over 100 FPS in fortnight.

According to UserBenchmark, the 1660 Super will be about 51% faster than the 570 overall, with 90% better performance in Fortnite tests. If you're willing to spend the extra cash, the 1660 Super will definitely give you better performance.

Saying you play mainly fortnite is very important, if you say you play Red Dead 2 then you need a 2070 super for 1080p high settings at 100fps

1660 super is better for you, performance stays relevant for longer.

Across 17 games the average FPS increase is 42% but going by PCPartpicker it is a 64% increase in price.

What is the total price of the build? If you can fit a 1660 Super in, I agree that it is probably worth it, but you likely don't need it, ESPECIALLY if you are mainly playing fortnight. Also, what resolution and refresh are you playing on?

Based on the benchmarks liked above you'll average above 60 fps with the 570 but the 1660 Super is a good card and if you live in the US and wait for Black Friday you'll save money.
