ssd upgrade?

im making a new pc with a ryzen 7 3700x n rtx2070 super.

Can/ should i use my old samsung ssd 850 evo 500G from my previous computer or do i need to buy a new1?

Why shouldn't you? There's not much difference between ssd performance in normal tasks anyways

You don't need to get a new drive. Do you plan on reinstalling the OS? What are the specs of the old build and what OS do you have?

im guessing i could salvage my old harddisk  as well?

yeah drives are the one of the only things you can carry on into your new computers without any problems whatsoever (aside from driver issues, you should uninstall all the previous drivers or you could run into conflicts)

yes, im getting a new motherboard, ram, cpu n gpu.

i like to salvage my old psu (1000 bronze), ssd, n harddrive if possible

If you are just building a new computer, you can carry your old drives forward just fine. You may want to do a clean installation of the OS when you do so, so make sure you back your files up.

Yeah dude, totally possible.  If you have Windows 10, you probably don't even need to reinstall Windows if you don't want to. I was able to swap my OS between a few systems without issues. Of course, uninstall/reinstall all appropriate drivers.
