Hi

i recently swapped out my intel i3 for and i5, and my pc won’t boot, I’ve tried resetting the CMOS and switching the battery, I’ve also checked that there are no bent pins, but it still won’t boot? Then I tried putting the i3 back in but even then it wouldn’t boot. Is there any hope left?

Same Gen. i5? maybe you only need to update the BIOS and then throw the new CPU in there.

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
