Hey guys, I'm from india, building my first pc. I will be using this pc for gaming and for casual use. I have chosen the parts of the build but still have about 5 months before i build the pc. Everything will be bought offline. The parts i have decided on:-

Cpu - ryzen 5 3500(works very similar to 3600)

Gpu - not yet decided(thinking abt a gtx 1660ti or rtx 2060 or gtx 1660 super)

Mobo - msi tomahawk max

Ram - adata xpg 3000mhz (2*8) 16gb ram

Psu - corsair cx 550

Storage - 1tb + 500gb(from my old computer) both from seagate

Keyboard - red gear blaze

Mouse - not yet decided

Headphones - not yet decided

Monitor - LG 22MP68VQ 75hz(with free sync)

All- in- all it costs me around 73000 rupees(1000ish dollars)

Any suggestions for the undecided parts is well appreciated. Bare in mind, i still have time (till mid may) to build my pc.

I don't think they sell 3500 yet ? Otherwise get it if it's available.

1660Ti is not worth it anymore since 1660S is out.

Get a SSD ! (MX500 for example)

Everything else looks good :)

I am actually getting a ryzen 5 3500. Should i go for a rtx 2060 if i am getting it for 4000rupees more? (4000 rupees =55 dollars)

I checked and it doens't exist over here :(

Anyway for 55$ it seems good enough maybe even a 2060S ? Do you use Cuda or Nvenc ? Otherwise you could consider the 5700 or 5700XT depending of your local prices. They are both better than the 2060S.

But, it has similar performance while gaming. And i won't be doing anything that needs ht

gaming is certainly a need that has started to require HT. this isnt 2015 anymore.

newer titles allready show non-ht CPUs hitting a wall with a lack of threads. especially among the more CPU heavy ones. and thats in benchmarks where there are no backgroundloads that may decide to occupy some threadtime.

I was initially gonna buy a 3600 initially, but after the market release of the 3500 and seeing its similar performance in most titles as 3600, i thought a 3500 would be a better option. Plus I'm getting it at around 90$ cheaper.

id suggest either going for a 2600 then, or taking the extra towards the 3600.

the r5 3500 is essentially a slightly better 9400f. which is also just a no-go due to lack of threads.

Which ome would be a better choice

A gtx 1660ti or a 1660 super?

Because they both have almost similar performance, but it seems like the super doesn't have a good overclock config.

What's the price difference ? If it's less than 10$ go for the Ti.
