Hello LTT,

I am running into a CPU/Memory bottleneck on my frankenstein computer (currently an i5 system) so I am looking at keeping what I can and upgrading on the cheap!

What I need:

Motherboard

CPU

Memory

I am keeping my GTX960 (4gb) for now, also keeping 650W power supply, case, opticals, HDDs etc.

I was looking around newegg and found what looks like a decent deal on:

- ASRock X470 Master SLI/AC AM4 ATX Mobo ($135)

- Ryzen 5 2600 ($120)

- OLOy WarHawk DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) 16 gb (2*8) ($83)

Any big red flags? Suggestions on alternatives? I am not married to Ryzen systems, but they seem like great budget options right now.

Thanks, Seraph

What is your budget?

Your selection is good but I would get B450 Tomahawk instead

B450 Tomahawk and 2600 is a great tight budget gaming rig combo. You can upgrade to 3700x in the future on B450 Tomahawk. MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is a not bad choice too for 3900x upgrade in the future.
