Hello lads! I recently upgraded my GPU from a 970 to rtx 2080 but thats the only thing i upgraded. I currently have a 4790k and 8gigs hpx fury. I'd like to also upgrade pe CPU to an i9 9900kf and Z390PRIME-A with 16gb hyperx predator @3200. For now i don't want to overclock. I have a 600W corsair PSU and i'm not an expert on this but I personally think that it's not enough to hold my current system. What do you guys recommand ? How much wattage should my future PSU have? Also i currently have an NH-D14 cpu cooler, is it enough for the i9 or i should upgrade to a all in one water cooler?

Thank you in advance !

600w would be enough, but you should get 80+gold 750w psu or better (since your budget seem to be big) Get like corsair hx series 80+platinum psu's or evga supernova series psu's

If not overclocking your cooler will be enough.

Get i9.9900 (non-K) if you dont overclock.

if you're not ocing, get a 9900... a z39 prime wouldn't be a great idea with that heavy of a chip anyways

what corsair psu do you have? 600w sounds like something rather old, as i don't have something coming to mind

and what would your budget and country be for a new one?

The psu i have is Corsair CP-9020048, 600W, ATX 2.3. I also didn't explain too correctly what i was thinking: So ... i wanted to know if my current PSU <- would take care of the CPU +ram+GPU (that i want to buy next) . In the future i may OC the crap out of everything just for ....my tech nerdiness sake xD

i will want to OC in the future, i just wanted to know if my current psu (Corsair CP-9020048, 600W, ATX 2.3) would handle my current GPU (rtx 2080) + future CPU and ram ( 16gig + 9900kf ) for a couple of months. I'm from romania, and around 500-600 lei would be max ( 120-150 $ i guess ). Also why wouldn't the z39 be a great ideea for the CPU ?

ah, the cx600... i wouldn't do that for multiple reasons

i'm not too familiar with romanian pricing, can you list a couple options around 650w?

the vrm on that model isn't too strong, so you might want to use a spare fan on it if you're going to overclock

but will i be able to run my future components on it for a couple of months? Also why wouldn't the z39 be a great ideea for the CPU ?

i wouldn't recommend to do so

to explain it briefly, you're loading up the 12v a lot while keeping the 5v low, the cx600 regulates those together and the 5v goes too far up
