CPU or GPU

I'm looking at getting a rig set up, the first time I've delved into a building desktop PC and I can't decide between these 2:

 AMD Ryzen5 3600X with 1660ti

Vs

Intel i7-8700 3.2GHz with RTX2060?

Is it better to have a faster processor or the better graphics card?

Cheers

its entirely possible to have 1 bottleneck the other, but of the 2 i personally would go for that top combo of amd and the 1660ti, abit easier on the wallet to i believe. display is also important, what kinda display you rocking?

1660 Ti is not worth the money so if you don't have the option to go 3600X with 2060, then go with the i7 instead.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

Hey, you should get the new 1660 super. I7 8700k is just couple percents faster in games.

But you should go with the top one tho

2060 will not be bottleneck by i7 8700.

i didn't say it would... its just something he should be aware of that can happen during a build. all the parts listed are solid.

It depends of what you do (gaming or workload). But the 8700 is not worth the money over the 3600 x or non x for either anyway.

The 1660S is better value over the 1660Ti.
