Wifi HDD?

Thready

I'm looking for a wireless portable 2.5" eHDD that I can access from any PC and keep in my bedroom. I looked at some  HDDs but they seem to have bad reviews and I'm wondering why. Are wireless HDDs not a good thing? What's the downside?

It’s basically just a NAS but with a really weak processor handling everything so they’re slow as balls.

You would be better off setting up a basic nas next to your router and using that.

Yeah I have a Synology but it's 6 years old. I might as well just use my wired external hdd.

You may want to look at something like a small FreeNAS box, or just use the NAS functionality built into most decent routers.
