So I just installed my new cpu cooler everything was straight forward and I read directions. Finished and booted it for the first time and it turned off then on a few time so I turned it off. I wiggled the cooler a bit and tried again. Now it boots but isn’t sending anything to the display. If you could give me some advice I would really appreciate it. Thx

you dont see anything at all on the monitor

do you have the monitor turned on

is the monitor plugged in to the pc and pwr

can you plug the monitor into another pc to see if it works

if you unplug the data cable from the pc and leave the power cable plugged in is there a light on

do you have pwr going to the wall or pwr bar

Well I’m pretty sure I didn’t over tighten

The most common of them is not enough pressure

Ok I’m taking it apart again to check. The base nuts did spin a tad when I screwed in the cooler. I was just afraid to damage the board.

The backplate absorbs this pressure so the motherboard will be fine.

So it’s cool to spin those nuts real tight right against the board?
