Okay im going to preface this with im both a noob and a dumbass.

Pc specs:

Ryzen 3 1200

Msi b350 pc mate

16gb corsair vengeance

Gigabyte gtx 1060

This morning I decided to overclock my PC in a bit of a dumbass way by starting low with the voltage. I clocked the cpu at 3700mhz which should be fine as ive run it at 3980mhz before however i didn't change the voltage from stock. This time, however, my pc didn't post which is fine but i cleared cmos with both jumper and battery with no avail, it wont pist and my rgb keyboard wont light up when i turn the computer on. It runs just wont post or boot. Any help on any way I can fix it or what the problem is (e.g. Bricked motherboard) thanks ?

Pull power supply cord

Pull power supply cable from mobo

remove cpu

pull cmos battery

let sit overnight (or a few hours anyway)

re-assemble

if it doesn't post, then you fried it

Looks like your system didn't like the overclock but your sorted that out putting cmos at stock again.  You can't just mess up a computer with a bad OC.  Something fishy is going on.  Listen to Radium_Angel ....

Bummer.

Ok, a few questions to help troubleshoot.

IF your board has a speaker (or a header for one, or you have one plugged in) then you can reconnect just the cpu/cooler fan, and keyboard (no RAM or other things) and power it on.

If it beeps at you, the board is good, as it recognizes RAM is missing, so then a bad CPU.

If it doesn't beep at you, then likely the motherboard is bad (at the very least)

Unfortunately I haven't got a speaker plugged into the motherboard. Either way I couldn't afford to replace either of those things
