Keyboard constantly freezing

I have a msi z270 gaming pro carbon paird with my i5 7600k and 1080 but lately when I have been playing the new modern warfare or even gears my keyboard (k70 lux rgb) would constantly start freezing where the rgb lighting would just stop or freeze. As soon as I tab out it turns back to normal and I can type and do whatever. Please help me find a fix for this problem since I can not seem to figure it out or find anything online that is helpful.
