I'd personally either go that route or an XPS.

Hey everyone my mom has tasked me with  finding her a new laptop problem is she is stuck on getting a MacBook of some sort. The price range is about $1000 Canadian and she’s wanting a 15.4 inch screen.  I was hoping to get suggestion for best bang for your buck laptop out there in that price range.
