Building a PC/NAS

So pretty much I have my hands on a somewhat decent entry level PSU (it's by xtreme gaming, i've used it for a while and easily handled high power tasks continuously) and I also have an i7 2600, and a gtx 760. You should be able to set up a FTP server running/hosted on windows to your LAN. In terms of a mobo, look for a name brand one unless you are comfortable using a prebuilt system's mobo, but that one should work.

That board should work, but there will be some annoyances with the front panel io, no io bracket, but should work fine.

If its for lan, cifs/smb is much better, faster and easier to setup. It also is built into windows, so easy to mount and copy/pase.
