looking at getting EZDIY-FAB Dual Frame RGB PWM Fans, around 10 of them. but i have a query wasn't sure about first.

They come with a hub to plug into the RGB header which is fine, but didn't like the fact you plug 5 fans to 1 fan header, as can handle max 1 amp, so say 1 fan is 0.2 of an amp, boot up thats doubled, so 0.4 of an amp each fan. if you have 5 plugged into the hub thats 2 amps. so header and board could be destroyed. Not about to do that.

I'm planning on using the hub to connect RGB cable to RGB header to control lights. but connect fan PWM lead to deepcool fan hub, which has dedicated power from the PSU. Then connect that to 1 fan header, as this should be safer as would take power from PSU not the header. looking at around 10 to 15 RGB fans.

That way i can control fan speeds without blowing the header or the motherboard. and the RGB with software on the board, will that work?

wasn't sbout to spend over £200-400 on RGB fans, and these did the job.

Any help will be appriciated.

Thanks.

but, doesn't the fan hub that comes with those fans not also use SATA power from the PSU?
