Office Computer Build

Cvdasfg

Hey everyone, thanks in advance for the help/suggestions. I've been out of the game for the past three years, so I appreciate all the advice.

Location and Budget: 1k or less, USA

Aim: Used professionally as a daily driver by people who are not familiar with computers. Responsiveness is most important. Will have between 20-30 tabs open at once, along with proprietary software running in the background. The

occasional loading/manipulations of CAD drawings as well.

Monitors: 1-2 monitors. Not included in price.

Peripherals not included in price.

price DOES have to include windows 10 pro

My friend (Who I'm building this for) wants 512gb SSD, Optical Drive, and 16 gigs of ram. Everything else is up for debate :)

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by "disk drive". If an optical drive is desired then a different case will be required. Otherwise get an appropriate capacity Seagate or WD hdd.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I did mean Optical drive, poor wording on my part. Could integrated graphics support two monitors? I was going to assume we'd need a cheap GPU

Everything newer than Intel HD3000 from 3rd gen i series handles 3+ 1080p displays

A cheap gpu doesn’t hurt, if it’s just to power a few displays then grab a 30$ GT 710 or something.

Ah interesting, wasn't aware of that. Thanks!

i think everyone should have a 20$ gpu on hand for when things inevitably break

gtx 460/465 550/555/560, 710/720 or 610 if you have a crappy psu

having a bunch of gpus lying around has saved my ass and the ass of others in my line of work many times

That is good tip! Yes, I would consider it if I ever come across with anything like that. Thanks!
