If popos doesn't work either, I recommend OpenSUSE Leap

 

Mageia is a nice distro as well, but it doesn't have the large community of SUSE or *buntu

here is an idea. Get something like virtual box and run the iso through a virtual install to check if the iso is ok. If the iso doesnt work in virtualbox, I recommend you download a new iso through torrent. Torrent has better error checking than browser downloads.
