Just another rant

Okay, so I use a galaxy s2, which is beginning to give up the ghost slowly but surely. It is the single best phone I have ever owned, was absolutely brilliant and built like a brick (several drops have hardly managed a scratch whereas other phones would be a congealed mass on goo from them). A while back it began to slow down, so I installed cyanogen and it became even better although now a few months after that it has begun to return to its aforementioned slow status.

 

Now onto the rant: There is a HTC titan in the draw. For those that don't know it is a windows phone. So I thought 'hey how about I give this a shot', and then remembered why its in a draw in the first place. Why. Why oh why did such a pathetic excuse for a mobile operating system ever make it to market. Maybe if I'd never owned a smartphone it would be okay, but really? I mean ios is customizable compared to windows phone... Coming for cyanogen it was just miserable. I could be misguided because it has not had an OS update since it came out, so maybe they fixed everything. But that would be assuming Microsoft got their act together in the last few years... Okay, so the app store. Oh I see, those 8 apps you have constitute an app store in your opinion. Well its still gets better.

 

Zune. Really? So its a windows phone, that I can't access using windows drivers? I need to use zune to put on music, photos, videos and hope like all hell that it doesn't crash. You would have thought for all the effort that they went to to make this thing that they would have set more than let a raccoon loose on a keyboard to program the bloody thing. Anyway, that just my opinion. Who knows maybe its got better, but I sure as hell wont go near a windows phone any time soon. Apologies if this offends any windows phone fan-boys(is that a thing?), but this is just a very belated rant to a product that is in all likelihood discontinued.
