Hi guys, before i tell you anything please keep in mind that english is not my native language, so if there is any grammar mistakes then im sorry.

I have been looking for a good place to get some opinions on my RIG, cablemanagement, and i think LTT is a perfect place. This machine took me about 2 years to build and with my income in mind, it was not easy.

The stuff i have now is quite dated but it serves me well so far. I wanted to know your opinions and if i wanted to upgrade should i upgrade to a better CPU (intel I7-8700K) or just go for an overhaul and do AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with a new MB.

Or just stick with this for a few more years. Thank you ahead for you comments, looking forward :)

I am thinking of going for the 8700K, but now with the new amd cpus, i don't know if its still a good choice to stay with intel. Amd Ryzen 7 3700X is about 100 bucks cheaper and has more cores, more threads and has the same if not higher OC potential. But with AMD i would have to change the MB and get higher clock RAM. Last thing, i can get my setup booted up fully prepared for gaming or for anything just under 16 seconds from pushing the turn on button. Is that good? If not how can i make it faster, going Nvme or is there anything else? Zhank you again for your opinions :)

If this build suits your needs, I wouldn't bother upgrading it. The components are still quite powerful.
If anything, I would change the fan color to match your graphics card and RAM. Great system, you did a good job with cable management.

Looks good!

I wouldn't bother with upgrading hardware until a monitor upgrade forces you to, and I would wait on a monitor upgrade until it's possible to get all the goodies (high refresh, 4K, HDR, good size, etc) at a reasonable price. So you can probably keep it for a few years, unless you find it starts to be insufficient for gaming sooner than that. 1080p at 144Hz is good right now.

I was thinking of a higher resuolution monitor as linus sais that 1080p today is outdated, but getting a good 2k or god forbid 4k monitor is the price of a whole new pc, so i stuck to 1080p. Rotating the tubes is not possible this is the only way i could fit in the cooling, the top has no clearence for the radiator and the front is the only place, i will try to tweak it. Ive always been team blue, but you have to admit for the past few years Intel has layed back too much. The pricing, the boost wich is not for very long, the meltdown HW problem. I really never wanted to go amd but now, it just seems such a good choice. Prices are better, clocks are better, core counts are better, and no meltdown problem.

Looks very standard and clean.

I agree with other people asking you to up it to 8700K.

Prices should fall slightly.
