memory oc

Go to solution Solved by hollyh88,

and i also just booted back made sure my bios set everything to default. went back and changed everything how i had before i placed those numbers in manually. selected the xmp profile 2. and it runs fine again. no issues thankfully.

Yesterday it was cpu which i am a bit more knowledgable in. now its memory xD which i basically know little off. oc wise. not overal knowledge wise.

I just did the dram calculater. filled it all in. saved and rebooted.

my cpu now is at 4250 instead of 4100 which is the oc i had set it too while the voltages are still at a 1.4 volts.
and the memory sticks are at 2400 speed instead of the 3200 i set it to.

My cpu is a 2600x. And my ram sticks are  Kingston DDR4 HyperX Predator RGB 2x8GB 3200 kit.
i usually had it at xmp profile 2 so it ran 3200 without any issue. but people told me to really dabble in memory overclocking. so i finally decided f it. followed some tutorials and did it.

But.. i think something went wrong as im pretty sure my ryzen 2600x shouldnt go up in clock speeds when i very clearly have set the oc to 4.1 right?
So what went wrong here?
