need help with ram

so i need exact instructions. Ive tried watching videos and learning i dont get it.

 

ive got corsair 3600mhz ram 2x8gb.

asus b450 f mobo

 

im running the memory profiles so 1.35v i think it is cl18 i think it is, i get black screen restarts sometimes. think the max my mobo supports is 3200.

 

How exactly, instructions i can follow step by step, do i downclock my ram to 3200 or 3400 even??

how much performance will i lose??

EDIT: So seems my mobo supports it so we're onto some further troubleshooting why am i getting black screen restarts below read latest post or such.

That board supports up to 4400Mhz memory with 3rd gen ryzen cpus.

Make sure your bios is up to date DOCP is enabled in bios and check the timings to make sure they applied correctly in bios.

 

Open event viewer and try to find the log from the restart to see if you can narrow it down.

wait i just realised it says downloaded......

but i doubt its installed then if im getting black screen... what do i do?

Yes, all that is a PDF list of memory kits officially supported by your board. Nothing to install. With Ryzen 3rd gen CPU most non X570 boards can support higher memory than the original spec.

Your memory most likely isn't the issue but to rule it out you can run memtest to check for memory errors, i like to let it run overnight. https://www.techpowerup.com/memtest64/

I think your issue lies else where.
