so I restarted my computer, just hit windows logo and restart.
now I can't load my windows. the motherboard just doesn't detect windows in boot menu.

I reinstalled windows and I have full access to the drive.

when I try to force boot from bios it just says (please remove disks or other media)

is there any way to not reinstall windows and just keep the old os. I really don't wanna get into setting up my pc again

I'm very confused reading this:

  1. So you restarted your computer.
  2. Windows no longer boots.
  3. ...you spontaneously reinstall Windows and have access again?
  4. ...now you don't have access again...?
  5. Did you not just reinstall the OS? You already overwrote the old OS...

I installed windows on a different drive

I have acces to the entire windows driver (the old one).

Through a new instellation on a different drive.

When i try to boot it only says:

Please remove discs or other media

Press any key to restart

Ok, so what you can try is connecting the question drive in another computer. If it gives you the same result your drive may be dying or the OS has somehow corrupted. (you can check for bad sectors in that case).

Are both disks now behaving this way or only the old one?
