Theres only like 3 manufacturers for the modules (the black things on the RAM PCB). SK Hynix, Samsung & Micron

Intel CPU almost do not care what RAM you put in it, AMD CPU used to be slightly pickier but the Ryzen 3000 series are a lot more accommodating to various RAM so basically just get what you need

Unless you're running a 1000 series Ryzen which might not like certain RAM, in which case might be worth checking the CPU & motherboard QVL list.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600  Heatsink: ID-Cooling Frostflow X GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 6GB RAM: KLEVV Bolt 3600Mhz (2x8GB) Mobo: ASUS B550-F ROG Strix (Wifi)  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: Deepcool DQ-M-V2L

im gonna buy ryzen 3600/3700x and i cant find the ram model in the motherboard QVL list .

what the difference could be between the rams? quality, speed?

Buy whatever you like the look of more, or cheapest. Any difference between them will be minor if anything at all. With ram at these speeds the risk of incompatibility is low. When you get it, before you increase the speed of the ram update the mobo bios to latest version as there have been improvements in that area since Ryzen 3000 came out.

Those are the ram chips. Modules typically refer to the sticks we buy.

Higher speed compatibility was never 100% on Intel either. Too many variables like mobo quality and bios.

Certain RAM chips (Samsung B-die for one example) may overclock better than others, in that you might hit higher speeds and lower latency timings. I say might because RAM overclocking can be troubleshooting hell if it goes wrong.

Ryzen 3000 series isn't as picky as its older siblings, so just pick whatever is best value for you, enable XMP/DOCP in the BIOS and you should be good to go (providing your motherboard of choice is capable of supporting that speed)

Intel is generally less sensitive to RAM speed anyway, most Intel motherboards don't really support beyond 3600Mhz as at the time the Z370/390 chipsets came out there wasn't nearly as much presence in the market in terms of RAM speed higher than 3200Mhz

Micron E-Die is almost as good as Samsung B-Die but has much better availability.

Yeah, definitely just go for whatever is cheaper if they're the same specs, unless you're going to be overclocking. If you are overclocking the ram, then you're going to want to check what die type the memory on each stick is. That can be easier said than done, but the best way to find out, that I've noticed, is to check your motherboard's qvl. They'll usually list what manufacturer made the memory dies for any of the approved kits they have on there. Other than that though, I'm not sure how you check something like that other than buying it first and then checking with Thaiphoon Burner.

Not much difference really

Most RAM comes with lifetime warranty anyway because the failure rate is so low, just pick whatever works for you
