So basicly im travaling a bit and needes to throw together a temporary setup for a couple of weeks tops and i want you to rate it/ give me any (cheap) improvements for this setup.

Isseue one: No internet because i didn't bring a wireless adapter and don't use the pc often enough to buy a card.

Issue two: The pc is backwards as the psu cable is too short but i didn't bring an extention.

Issue three: Pc overheating cause cpu fan dosn't spin over 28% as it was previously dropped when disassembling the original pc it was in.

Issue four: The pc is a mess as it was thrown together in 50 minutes as my laptop battery litterly blew up an hour before leaving so the pc was not cable managed at all.

Specs:

G4560

2x4GB 2133mhz

Asrock b250m-hdv

Gigabyte lowprofile gt1030

Kingson A400 240gb ssd

WD blue 500gb hdd

White lable evga 500w

Crappy zalman case that i hate with a passion

Technika T.V that was here already here so don't know specs

Any recommendations would be appteciated, thanks !!!

1.2/1.0 Would buy if I saw it on a store shelf presented this exact way.

Recommendations?

  1. Get that Wi-Fi card. (Or better yet an Ethernet cable)
  2. Get a short extension cable
  3. Replace the defective CPU cooler
  4. Cable manage it.
  5. Properly mount the SSD in it's cage.
  6. Get a better cellphone camera. I'm pretty sure my old $99 android phone with a 3mp camera would take a clearer image.

Also that 24-pin motherboard power cable being so close to that case fan is giving me a heart attack too

What he's failed to mention is that fan is the slim version of LMG's Blowie-Matron. Still 11,000RPM. Gotta make up for that 28% of CPU fan speed.

1) For the love of God, please manage your cables. Your MB power cables are dangerously close to the case fan

2) Mount your SSD (even if you have to use double sided tape) - You're probably going to have issues if you leave it flopping around like that

There isn't any place to manage them, behind the mobo tray there is only about 4mm clearance to the back panel and the case is super cheap, to the point where my adhesive strips peal off after a day or two and thew original ssd fell into the original fan that was in there, that fan is no more...

I mean your not wrong i do run them at 100% to make up for the half dead fan, only issue is they sound like a higher-pitched blowie-matron and can here them from downstairs, i think its getting on my friends nerve

Your friend should try living with my server room for a night. He doesn't know how good he has it if the sound from this one little tower bothers him.
