should i upgrade

i have an AMD FX-8350 and i feel like i might want to upgrade.

the processor i am looking at is the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 

if you think i should upgrade then can you also recommend a motherboard

Does the FX-8350 not give you the performance that you want?

Not a great reason to upgrade unless you got a lot of $$$ burning a hole in your pocket.

Is there a game or application you want to run that you can't?

i'd go with the r7 2700 right now also with a mid range x470, it's such a good deal, comes with bl3 and outer world too, was just browsing newegg the other day and couldn't believe my eyes.
