I'm experiencing for the fist time hardwired Ethernet internet connection. When i was in my Apt. i had to get a wireless card to use the wifi because my router had to be in the living room (i had no coax in my room and they couldn't drill. i'm a Spectrum Tech now so i understand)  I'm no my new place and i got to put my modem and route next to my PC and gaming stuff.  I was wondering if i get a networking card if i'd be able to use 2 400x20 hard wired connections (one on the networking card and one on the motherboard) if i'd essentially be able to have 2 400x20 connections making it faster. i don't think  it works like that but you never know. because math says 2+2=4

You won't get faster internet by adding more connections to your router if that's what you're asking.

You would need a layer 3 device, either a router, or layer 3 switch where you can do ether bonding and load balance between the 2 connections to get the 800x40 connection with the 2 400x20 installs. Only way to do it in windows would be if you have Server edition.
