So, I am soon planing on upgrading my existing 1080p 60hz monitor to a 144hz model (probably the LG ultragear featured in one of Linus’ latest videos). With that I think I am going to upgrade my GPU, as I am currently rocking a GTX 950 with my i5-4430. I am thinking about going with a 1060 6gb from Zotac for $210. Will this cause a bottleneck with my cpu? If so should I save $40 and go with a 1050ti 4gb? The games that I currently play include rocket league, Destiny 2, CSGO, Apex Legends, and other less demanding titles. Currently I can run rocket league and CSGO at 120+ fps consistently with maxes peaking in the 160 range. Haven’t tested the others yet.

when you can get an RX 580 8GB for under $200? Same performance, cheaper.

for a lot of games, yes. You can step down to an RX 570 which will still deliver solid 1080p performance, and has excellent performance for the dollar.

same performance as a 960 really, give or take.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Would a RX570 8gb a good fit for my situation? I found one from MSI for $180.

Are these prices USD or CAD?

If USD, here's the best value

USD. Sorry I didn’t mention that.

Then yeah the 570 I linked above is the go to. Only $140 and it's a sapphire card so you know it's great.

Okay. The one that I found was an 8gb model though. Is the increase in memory worth the extra $40?

Not really, especially when the cheapest 8gb model is around $150.

And even still, for your use case it wouldn't benefit too much overall. You're better off with the 4GB model.
