Thanks!

Best bet is to check your local classifieds and go from there. Unless you're willing to ship, in which case Reddit Hardware Swap is usually your best bet.

If you'd like to sell it super cheap, inquire within ;)?

Ya, I checked Craigslist but not easy to find like for like and I really don't want to deal with parting it out.  Hopefully all or nothing.  I'll check Reddit, thanks.   If you want to make an offer go ahead :)

compare these to todays new product for a ref.

some rough idea

mobo: retain most value since its discontinued ~$80-100

cpu: just a 4c8t chip (worthless to me)... follow ebay pricing or sell low

ram: better keep or sell close to msrp due to life time warranty

gpu: a very power hungry version of rx 470/570 ~$60

Thanks for the tips.  I already bought 3600MHz RAM for the new build, 64GB.

CPU seems like it might be 250-300 CAD.

I paid $250 for the RAM.

this is the hardest to sell, coz you can get a used ryzen 1600 ~$60 & new 3600 for $200

That is fair, and I'm happy to just charge a rate that is attractive.  Hopefully I can just sell the whole thing as one lot which someone can use to swap out.  I'm assuming you are talking USD?  I'm in Canada and was quoting CAD.  Here, Ryzen 3600 is $265 pre tax.

i would bet the mobo noone would bought it for more than 30$.

The cpu around 100$.

The ram is your best bet so you could ask for 60$-70$

the card?....around 40$ and i wouldnt bother selling it anyway.

you can get that much on ebay for just the CPU, skylake CPUs are somehow still holding up well in used price.

I wouldnt trust any used electronic anyway. Especially cpus and gpus...as i wouldnt know how far were pushed from the owner. 250$ is considered too much for me....even if the price of the cpu is 1000$....

Used GPUs I've run in the last two years:

1060, 1070, 1050 ti, 290x, 980 ti, 980 ti, 480, 1060, 980 ti, 390x, 980 ti, 390, 580, 1080 ti, 1080, Vega 56, 1660 ti

Used CPUs I've run in the last two years:

i7 830, 6800k, 6950x, fx6300, 5930x, i7 930, 8086k, i7 920, 1600, 9600k, 4370, G5400, 5820k, (and soon) 6950x

All worked flawlessly, so I dunno what you're high on bro.  A CPU with a twenty year expected lifespan isn't going to decide it doesnt need to work anymore because it's a whole 3 years old.  Even heavily abused x58 chips still perform the same as they did on launch a decade ago.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

you must be lucky because 2 older gpus and 1 cpu i bought in past was flawed...even a new gtx 1660ti i returned it because it was flawed. Thats mine opinion about used items and cant change. sorry.

Pretty arrogant, that you can't even change your opinion on something. Also some of the "opinions" you share are flat out wrong factually like this

All you have to do is check recent completed listings on eBay and see that the 6700K sells for above $200 USD regularly, so obviously you have no idea what the value of these used parts are but you share your incorrect "opinion" on the matter anyways. I wish I could even find a B150 board for $30.

@KazInVan These old skylake chips sell pretty quick, if you put it up for auction starting at like $150 people will pile in fast

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

just paid $60 for an asus H170 board actually, but you could get that price if you sell it on eBay.

Not lucky, I just require proof of functionality before purchasing like any non brain damaged lad.  Seriously, it's not that hard, and that entire incomplete list still work flawlessly in other peoples rigs.

Thanks, I may do that as selling they four components together probably won't be easy.

What is the best way to prove functionality.  The gear worked perfectly fine before I took it apart, but now that it's not a complete CPU I can't just plug it in and boot it up.

So since new gear was flawed too you will stop buying new gear?  That is just following your logic...

Best way is to take a picture of the cpu + desktop with hwinfo running along with a timestamp.  Otherwise, take pictures from all angles (top and bottom, mainly) and ship it either in the original box or an anti-static bag
