Need help finding the right thing

Hello there!

 

I'm working on a project and I need something like this only I need to be able to program it so when a specific key is pressed, it's backlight turns on to indicate it was toggled/enabled. And the other way around, so when it's pressed again, the backlight for that key turns off to indicate it was toggled off. Does something like that exist out there? The maximum height I have room for is 3.5 inches tall (think in terms of your current keyboard and how much space it takes up inbetween your monitor and the edge of your table). Other dimensions don't matter as much. I also need at a minimum of 6 buttons.

 

My project is attaching this to a piano to be used as a macro controller for Ableton Live.

 

I thought about the Elgato Stream Deck, but I'd like the option of more buttons for the future.

 

Hopefully there is something I can do, or buy. Thanks in advance!
